MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – November 13, 2012 5:00 PM

R.D. Sullivan Construction - $16,961.00
A M R Building & Remodeling - $18,614.00
The Board of Selectmen accepted R. D. Sullivan Construction provided telephone and computer jacks installation would be included.
Calcium treatments will be applied to Hartland Road and the end of Schoolhouse Road as needed by Tolland’s Department of Public Works.
Received a regret letter from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on an application for funding through the MassWorks Infrastructure Program Grant for the repairs to route 57.
An application for certification to become a seasonal employer will be submitted to The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Unemployment. Once the certification has been received The Board of Selectmen will advertise the seasonal position. The position will be to assist the Department of Public Works with snow removal during the absence of a Department of Public Works, Superintendent. The salary will be $15.00/hourly.
The job description for the Department of Publics Works, Superintendent will be reviewed by the Board of Selectmen and submitted to D.I. Jacobs to be written in the current format. The Board of Selectmen voted to advertise the position with an annual salary of $51,000, no overtime, no compensation time and the DPW truck is to remain in Tolland.

The board’s met with Don Jacobs of D.I. Jacobs Consulting to further discuss compensation of Tolland employee’s and elected officials.
